Outreach

We are always meeting and developing relationships with local organizations in Minnetonka/Hopkins and the Twin Cities more broadly that are committed to loving and serving others. Below you’ll find links to  some of these organizations. We encourage you to check them out and start to get involved in one if it seems like a fit. If you start serving let us know so we can learn from your experience.

Additionally, we would love to begin to develop a team at Mercy Hill to serve regularly within each one of these organizations. Maybe God is calling you to be a part of starting a Serve Group. Let us know if you think that’s you. Don’t see an organization that you love on this list? Let us know so we can reach out to get to know them.

Non-Profit Partners

  • Arrive Ministries

Arrive Ministries is a refugee resettlement agency providing essential services and practical assistance to refugees and immigrants to advance self-sufficiency. We mobilize volunteers, in partnership with local churches, to extend love and friendship to our new neighbors to promote thriving in a new homeland.

  • Every Meal

Every Meal is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to fight child hunger. We focus on filling the food gaps children face on weekends, extended breaks, and summer when they’re not able to access school meal programs. Find more info about how to get involved with Every Meal here.

  • Feed My Starving Children

Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) believes hope starts with food. As a Christian nonprofit, FMSC is dedicated to seeing every child whole in body and spirit. FMSC works with food distribution partners that stay with communities for the long haul, empowering them to move from relief to development.

  • ICA Food Shelf

ICA's mission is to create a healthy and stable community for all, a community where everyone has the resources to thrive. ICA believes that our presence in our communities makes our neighborhoods more stable and secure.

  • Reel Hope Project

The Reel Hope Project's mission is "A forever family for every child," and their vision is, "To mobilize the christian faith community to step into adoption, foster care, and prevention efforts." Their goal is to make a video for all youth in their focus states who are experiencing foster care and awaiting an adoptive family. Each reel is provided free of charge to the representing country or adoption agency as a recruitment resource for prospective adoptive families.

  • Mercy Hill Meals Ministry

Mercy Hill's Meals Ministry is a collective effort that keeps our freezer stocked with wholesome, delicious freezer meals for sharing with friends and family who could use a little extra help and love in a busy or demanding time of life. Our quarterly meal-making events are a fun place to connect with others in our community as we chop, stir, spread, and wrap breakfasts and dinners. If you'd like to join our next meal-making event or would like to host a meal-making event at your home please email abby@mercy-hill.com

Community Projects

2-4 times a year we rally together as a church to participate in local projects. Sometimes all of us go to a single location and sometimes we spread out in the community.

Have a great idea for a local project lots of us could participate in? Reach out to Abby!
